MEET NANCY
Nancy is a retired public school teacher, former teachers' union president, and lifelong advocate for public education. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, she was raised in a hardworking union family that instilled in her the values of fairness, opportunity, and service.
After beginning her career in the private sector, Nancy returned to school to pursue her true calling: teaching. She taught English for more than two decades in Pinellas County, primarily at Pinellas Park High School, where she earned recognition as a high-impact teacher and helped countless students achieve academic success.
Throughout her career, Nancy was known for creating engaging classrooms that inspired students to think critically, develop confidence, and discover a love of learning. She consistently championed the belief that education should be student-centered and that teachers should be trusted as professionals.
Later in her career, Nancy was elected president of the local teachers' union, where she advocated for educators, students, and safe learning environments.
Nancy is running for the Pinellas County School Board because she believes public education is one of the most important institutions in our communtiy. She is committed to supporting students, empowering teachers, strengthening partnerships with parents, and ensuring that every child has access to a high-quality public education.

As a longtime educator, Nancy knows that great teachers are the key to student success. She will work to reduce unnecessary bureaucracy, support teacher recruitment and retention, and ensure educators have the flexibility to meet the needs of their students.

Nancy believes education should be centered on helping students develop critical thinking skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. She will support policies that prioritize student engagement, academic growth, and preparation for success after graduation.

Nancy has spent her career standing up for students, supporting teachers, and strengthening public education. Now she's ready to bring that experience and leadership to the Pinellas County School Board.
